Altix3700 (64CPU), an SGI parallel computer, has been introduced as the computing server for research. It is available for large-scale computing by parallel programming (OpenMP, MPI) and as a science and technology application server with such applications as: Gaussian03, CFX, ANSYS, ICEM CFD, FieldView, Gridgen and Intel Compiler (C/C++, Fortran).
We can use the super-computing system provided by Tohoku University. That consists of a vector system "SX-ACE" and a scalar system "LX406 Re-2 ". It is available for large-scale computing by parallel programming and as a science and technology application server with such applications as: Gaussian09, ANSYS Academic Research CFD.
We have introduced Altix350 (35CPU), an SGI computer, which has the same architecture as our high-speed computing server. It serves as the computing server for programming exercises and application server for applications (Mathematica, AVS and FieldView).
We provide a low-performance server for education. It serves as the computing server for programming exercises (C/C++, Fortran) and symbolic computation systems (Mathematica).
Application server for Linux based applications (ANSYS, Mathematica).
Statistical analysis applications are available on the server.
By synchronizing a lecture and its Power Point data, the system makes it easy to prepare animation materials and store them in the content server.
You can record up to three videos simultaneously, such as lecture videos and lecture terminal screens, to create synchronized content. The created content can be delivered by VOD or saved to DVD.
With this system you can edit videotaped content and store it in the content server.
Animation materials stored in the content server are delivered to terminals (PCs) through this system. It can also transmit lectures in real time.
About 600 PCs (Windows XP 8.1, Linux and Mac OSx X) are installed in the information processing seminar room in each faculty.
Black and white printers are installed in the information processing seminar room of each faculty. They are available for free, and need to bring a printing paper.
Pay color/black and white printers are available at the information processing seminar room of the Library. Use them with a prepaid card exclusively for the printers.
